Title: Understanding the Purpose and the significance of the Spirit of the Lord and His anointing

Hallelujah, praise be unto God. Glory, praise, blessing, honor, adoration and praise belongs to the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever. Saints, receive my utmost and sincere greetings in the Wonderful and powerful name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We shall read today’s word from the following books:

Luke 4: 18-19 or Isaiah 61:1-2

‘ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.’

Judges 14:5-9

Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.

And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done. And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well. And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcass of the lion. And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcass of the lion. So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.

Judges 15:15

And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith

The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. The world and its inhabitants were created in Christ, by Christ and for Christ. It was and it is the plan and the purpose of God to give you his spirit and His anointing. When you have Jesus in your Life you have the anointed one with His anointing. Also when you have Jesus in your Life you have the Spirit of the Living God that was upon his life. The very purpose of the Spirit of God and the His anointing in the Life of Jesus Christ was to accomplish what God had predestinated Christ to fulfill. From the text we’ve read, (Luke 4:18-19) Jesus said that the Spirit of the Lord is upon Him for Him (God) has anointed Him to preach good news to the poor…

The spirit of the Lord and His anointing upon you is meant to service the people of God. Lets look at the life of Samson, one of the people God had entrusted with His Spirit and His anointing; it was the purpose of God to deliver Israel from the hands of the Philistines by using Samson as the carrier of God’s miraculous power. The spirit of the Lord is meant to break and destroy each and everything that the devil throws at your way. When Samson went to Timnath with his parents he encountered a young lion that aimed at devouring him but the spirit of the lord came so mightily or heavily upon him that he can kill the lion with his bare hands. That was an outstanding display of the working of the spirit of the Lord. Brethrens, when we face challenges we need not to run away but to face the adversary with confidence because the spirit that was upon Jesus is upon us. We can do all things through Christ who strengthen us. He is able to give you victory over the young lion that comes you way. Because of His purpose He embedded in you before you were born, the devil has no power over your life, your future, destiny and you Health. Let’s face our adversary with courage knowing that great is He who lives in us than the devil in this world.

If we can endure and overcome the enemy, one day we shall harvest honey from the carcass of your problems, Samson food the swarms of bees and honey over the remains of the dead lion. He didn’t find only the swarms of bees but both swarms and honey. In life it is possible to find the swarms of bees without honey, but when God gives you; His reward will be complete with honey. Stand and be count with champions. Just know that what ever you encounter the Lord is watching and He is ready to send His angels to bring honey and swarms of bees before only if you overcome.

Use what ever thing is at your disposal to carry on with the purpose of God. Samson used the fresh jawbone of an ass to smite 1000 philistine, you can use the very same word of God to fight the adversary. Don’t allow the enemy to destroy what the Lord has laid in your life. You are strong enough to conquer. Thousands will fall at your side and ten thousands at your right hand, nothing will come near you and with your eyes you shall she the recompense of the wicked.

Decending to the Grave In a Humble - obedient Heart.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth”; (Philippians 2: 5-10)

Jesus left the porters of Glory in humble adoration coming down to corrupt sinful world. While looking at the Picture of Jesus the Holy Ghost remind me of another creature that was down from the same heaven because of Pride( the opposite of Being Humble). Both creatures came down to earth but the difference is that the devil was thrown out of heaven because to pride. Jesus decided to take a form of servant and humbled himself to be found in like manner with man. Jesus came down (he was not thrown out.)

God will humble every arogant - proud heart and lift every humble - obedient heart.

The Devil:

Ø Had Pride and counted himself equal with God

Ø Was thrown out of heaven

Ø He arrived on earth with anger- and he deceived the world. He is seen in the Snake that deceived Eve in the Garden.

Ø His eternal throne is fire in hell,

But our Lord Jesus:

Ø He humble himself before God

Ø He came down from heaven because of love.

Ø He came to save the souls that the devil was destroying.

Ø And God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name that is above every name: His humble-obedient heart afforded Him a throne in heaven on the right side of the Father.

It doesn't matter how anoited you are, but you still be submit under authorities, you still have to be obedient to your elders.. and the Lord will lift you up.

“The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant”.

Only those who are obedient before the lord will see His secret power. There is always power that you haven't tape into. that which the Lord will shew His faithful-obedient servents.

Some times things won't be going your way but please make sure you go down humbly before the Lord. The your way down will be your way up.

Let the weak say I'm strong and let the poor say I'm rich... let's always be humble before the Lord bearing in mind that all things works together for good to they that Love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

We have tasted the Grapes

Numbers 13:30 "And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it"

After the twelve men went out to spy the Land of Canaan , ten come discouraged but two came inspired that they can go through anak to possess the Lord the given. they tasted the grapes of the promised land and they were not ready to let it go. God has given you a vision , do'nt let your vision die because of the challeging along the way. It does not matter how big your problems are, Unless you are ready to through Anak you will never take over the palace not to mention marring the King daughter Like David after defeating Goliath.

Then Caleb tell the children of Israel that they need to go and possess the Lord has given, this is the kind of mentality you should have as a child of God. Have a winning mentality.

Phippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me"

You are better than that, you can make it, you are born of God ..

Give us this day our Daily bread

matthew 6:9-11 "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread".

Jesus taught His disciples how to pray. He said “our father who art in heaven ..... Give us this day our daily bread...... this means God is got bread for each and every day of your life. He will not give you yesterday’s bread, or tomorrow‘s bread, but today‘s bread. In another place he said don’t worry about tomorrow. He will give you this day your daily strength. Don’t worry about whether the strength you have will take you through the next three days, or whether the money you have will take through the whole month. Give me this day my daily ... give me this day my daily plan. His mercies are new every morning, it’s not yesterday's, it last not year‘s miracle. But give me this day my daily miracle. Every morning there is fresh mercy and grace from the throne to take through the struggles of that day. The Bible says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delighted in ways. Good is interest in every step of his children. I mean one step. The reason God has bread for each and every day is because every day when the sun rises, it hand you different packages daily. Each and every bread from the heavenly backery carries power that equals the challenge of that day. Give us this day our daily bread.

Some parents spending some sleepless nights thinking about what they will give to their kids to eat, even how they going to pay the apartment they staying in. but on sunset the next day, you spend the same hours wandering how you nanaged to do that. let me asure you that weeping may endure for a night , but joy cometh in the morning. every morning God will give you daily bread, you will walk and never faint and you mount high with wings like an eagle. This might be the night hour of your life but you morning will come, you will sing the song that says " This the day that lord has made , I will rejoice and be gland in deed.

He will not give you the whole plan,but he give this day your daily bread. He will not show everything about your future but he will show you where to set your foot, what to touch and where to turn. thus the reason you have an intimate relationship with God, because he is always communicating and he need some who is ready to receive the daily bread, not someone who want to survive on yesterday 's bread. Fresh bread from the master will keep you spirit healthy dispite everything life might be throwing at you.
